Duration: Approximately 4 hours
Schedules & Registration

Instructor: James Cook

Photoshop is the software of choice when it comes to polishing and revising a digital image. It boasts more power than any other, but overwhelms most of us with a dizzying array of menus, tools and palettes. This workshop is built around the core set of Photoshop tools, simplified to a point where you can wade in safely and get some real results.

Nearly every image can benefit from knowledgeable adjustments. In this class you'll learn to make all the basic corrections to ensure that every image has a proper tonal range and color balance. You'll learn how to retouch areas to fix spots and blemishes, to correct unwanted tilts and crop visual intrusion; all without pushing it over the edge. We'll also make sure that you know how to control the file type and size to give you confidence whenever you save, print or email any image.

This is a carefully planned class with numerous demonstrations of techniques. You don't need to have a laptop with you in order to benefit, but feel free to bring one and follow along. If you don't yet own it, Adobe offers a 30 day trial of Photoshop CS5.

Previous Photoshop experience is not required, however a working knowledge of computers is necessary for you to get the most from this workshop.
